“Tuesdays at Our House” is a new series designed to encourage homeschooling moms. Every now and then, on a Tuesday, I’ll post an article describing the life of a homeschooling family on a typical day. It could be a Tuesday, but it may be any day, really. I chose “Tuesdays at Our House” because I will be publishing the articles on Tuesdays.
Tuesdays at Our House
Homeschooling looks very different from house to house. For example, I have five children and we’ve used various resources for teaching. From worktexts to unit studies to textbooks to co-op classes to private school to technical school and so much in between! Then there’s my cousin who has 12 children; and my friend who has only one child. There’s my friend who uses online school; and my friend who picks-and-chooses her curriculum to get the best education for her children. And there are so many other families I can’t list them all here! Tuesdays at our house will look very different from Tuesdays at anyone else’s house.
Would You Like to Tell Your Story?
What do Tuesdays (or any day, for that matter) look like at YOUR house? Send me an email about an average day at your home and I’ll share your story here on a future Tuesday.
Many homeschool moms wonder, “Am I doing it right?” when they’re new to homeschooling. Those who have been doing this for a few years wonder, “Is this right? Are we strange?” when they believe other families do things differently. Sharing our stories is a great way to encourage each other. It’s a way to show others that they are not alone, they are not strange, and there are other families in similar circumstances.
I hope you’ll check back often so you can read our stories. And I hope you’ll consider being featured!
